Simena® Enters the South American Market

Sterling, VA, May 23, 2006 — Simena announced that it has signed the first distributorship agreement in South American market with Andes Ingenieros S.A. Located in Santiago, Chile Andes is operating in IT systems integration, including servers, operative systems and networking. The company will provide Simena products to the extensive and ever growing customer base in its service area.

Simena’s products enable users to proactive and effective network testing. Network Emulator is an appliance that emulates network conditions and problems on a live traffic to enable realistic testing of network applications and equipment. Widely used by VoIP, Video on Demand, IPTV, and other new Internet based voice, video and storage based service providers, and equipment manufacturers Network Emulators help customers to save money and time as well as minimize the application failures and the service interruptions. Simena Network Emulators come in four different models to meet various user requirements and budget. NE500 is the most portable and affordable of the Network Emulator family. NE1000 is the mid-level model and its fast processor can handle up to 100BaseTX wire speed network emulation. And NE2000 is the high-speed model one with unique features such as packet modifications, simultaneous emulations and custom filtering. And NE3000 is unique combination of Simena Network Emulator and Simena Traffic Generator technology in the same platform. Simena Traffic Generator TG1000 is on the other hand, with its patent-pending Capture&Replay™ feature can be used to capture high speed real-time data packets such as VoIP or IPTV streams without affecting the quality.
